Summary
“You’ll never do this,” Karen says smugly.
Buck immediately bristled, pointing dramatically at her, “You underestimate us, Wilson.” Then, he turned to Eddie with a dopey grin. “We can do it.”
“Yes, we can,” Eddie nods, because apparently wine and peer pressure made him lose all sense of self preservation.
“All right” Maddie grins, leaning forward like she was about to deliver the final act of a master plan. “You two have to date”
“What?” Eddie blurts, at the exact same time Buck says, “No problem.”
Karen doesn’t miss a beat. “You have to convince Hen and Chim that you’re together. For an entire month.”
“No,” Eddie shakes his head with a snort.
“Absolutely” Buck says at the same time.
Or; a dare, fake dating, a freak out and lots and lots of stickers.

Summary
“What’s going on?” Bobby and Buck say in unison.
“You two,” Athena announces, “are going to talk things out.”
“There’s nothing to talk about,” Buck says, like a liar. “Everything is fine.”
.
Buck overhears Bobby say that he's not his kid. He doesn't take it very well.

Summary
“You look like hell,” she said.
Bobby huffed, “Yeah. Feels about right.”
Athena pulled a chair up beside him, settling in without another word. She didn’t push, didn’t pry. She wouldn’t force him to leave, wouldn’t tell him to stop feeling what he was feeling. Just sat there, waiting, letting the silence stretch between them until Bobby finally exhaled a shaky breath.
“He called me ‘Pops,’” he said quietly.
Athena nodded, like she already knew. “Yeah. Hen told me he used to call you that all the time.”
Bobby swallowed. “Yeah. He did,” he let out a weak laugh. “Drove me crazy.”
Or,
5 times Bobby wanted Buck to call him 'Pops' + 1 time he tells him to.

Summary
Buck dies, and he’s cold right away. They all are, this isn’t the kind of summer storm where the rain is almost warm. It’s freezing out here, even under all the layers of their gear. Bobby’s sure his own skin is corpse-cool, but he holds Buck and the harness pulls him stiff in his arms, and his body is cold, and he thinks Wait. It’s happening too fast. Wait. He’s dead, and Bobby lays him carefully on the gurney, and he rides up front with Eddie as they tear through the streets towards the hospital, frantic noise and movement reaching them from the back. He’s dead when they pull up to the doors. The human body begins to decay after four minutes, starts to consume itself, the final hunger. Bobby hears the crack of his sternum when Eddie’s palms press so far into his chest his heart starts to beat again. 43 seconds to spare.
