Summary

Mostly a romance, with some plot added. Some references to scenes or dialogue from The Rise of Skywalker. I would like to publish one chapter every few days or even every day.

Summary
Her Majesty Leia Organa, desperate to save her son from the path he's being lured down, insists he marry. When he chooses a random servant who rejects his proposal, his fascination with her destroys Snoke's plans... and Rey's.
"“Her… Ben, you don’t even know her!” Leia groaned slowly and stepped back to lean against her desk. She also stepped on the train of her gown but who cared at this point. With arm across her stomach and the other hand at her forehead, Leia looked over at the servant again. Fair enough of face, the woman didn’t appear to be wearing any cosmetics but that wasn’t unusual for a servant. “What’s your name?”
”Rey, Your Majesty,” and she swallowed as she dipped again in a respectful curtsy. There had to be a way out of this. Out the window? Well that would end the immediate situation but would probably create more problems. “With all respect, I am unable to marry His Highness.”
That was likely the worst thing that Rey could have possibly said in that situation. She could see her mistake almost at once, in the way Ben's eyes glittered and he leaned forward, putting palms together with his fingertips just grazing his lips.
