In retrospect, Dazai trusted Yosano.
Her asking him to talk wasn’t out of the ordinary, either, with how Dazai frequently visited her in her apartment, or how they journeyed on sort of friendly dates to the bar. In some way, Yosano always achieved something no one else had — Dazai opening up. Although he couldn’t elaborate on whether he enjoyed it or not, expressing himself to the ex-military doctor was almost the easiest thing Dazai had accomplished since he joined the Armed Detective Agency. Despite common belief, Yosano was a calm person. He held no fear for her, just respect.
