Nicholas was not an easy crier. His friends even joked about how the doctors in the hospital must’ve panicked when they didn’t hear any crying when he was born. It was as if he was born chill like that, with those foxy eyes and intensity that he thinks people find scary.
Then why is he sitting curled up on the floor, an endless stream of tears running down his pink cheeks. The furniture and the walls of the room, the only audience listening to his sniffling and sobbing. Boys don’t cry, right?
