AU where Data is found on Omicron Theta by Romulans, leaving Starfleet oblivious to his existence. 25 years later, the Enterprise crew manage to take prisoner an android agent who professes loyalty to Romulus. They are disquieted to find that this Romulan machine is, under the surface, a bit more human than it is Romulan…and deep under the surface, perhaps more alive than a machine has right to be.
