It was madness, really, he knew that. He’d suggested doing a shorter hike first, like an hour or two, but Brad had insisted on this particular trail, because he’d always wanted to do it. Which was all well and good, but David couldn’t for the life of him understand why Brad would want to spend that much time with him, voluntarily, in his free time. If it had been anyone else, he’d have been flattered, excited even, but Brad? It was suspicious. Sure, he wanted to get to know Brad better, he wanted to connect with him—but two fucking days.
