Summary
There was a reason he kept his true identity as Barbatos a secret. It was not only to keep those who were trying to find him for more nefarious reasons chasing after shadows, but to also let him live the semblance of a somewhat normal life. He had kept it up for almost 2600 years and very rarely did he reveal his secret, except to those who he deemed worthy of his trust.
And while it was kept in close confidence, his perseverance at keeping it that way is put to the test when Lumine's life is at stake. The only hope left at this point is for those who discovered it will continue to protect it.
