Up to Ch 13: Character points from the original content translated wonderfully into the AU; both characters deeply loveable.
Beyond: plays out the standard dilemma re. performance at the 'elite' level; typically, prioritises a healthy lifestyle over the goals of the artist. Saving grace in that Thor is willing to see things through post-mediocrity, instead of empty preaching.

Picks up dramatically from Fifth Year, perhaps even Fourth, where writing also improves - though the entire work is glib in a way that takes some getting used to,with the human elements slightly superficial until quite far in; even then, there's a bit of distance in the treatment.
Politics: forcefully over-stated in the first few years that 'everything in Slytherin is a power play', but it becomes true late. Politics delightfully dense, and impeccably sustained; quite an even treatment.
A pleasure. Last read chapter 20, 2014(!) update.

Very good. I like the Ginny here. The Cicero quote, and Hermione's appreciation for something so elitist, did shock me - but then again, context can be layered. The sex is very......traditionally described......very published, non-individual erotica.
