“I was,” Alfred said, rubbing one eye tiredly and sounding about as exasperated as he looked. His glasses were hooked on the black tank top he wore, and his pajama pants hung so low on his hips they exposed the elastic band of his boxers, a sliver of toned stomach. Mathieu had to focus on keeping his eyes trained on Alfred’s face.
