Honestly, there wasn't much that Ocean felt could be less fun than playing stupid teenage party games at some random party that she didn't even want to attend.
But Penny's hopeful expression gave her pause, and Noel took that opportunity to jump in with his own comment.
"Come on, Satan. Could do you some good," he said, and Ocean noticed the way his gaze almost imperceptibly flicked between Penny and herself.
At this, Ocean felt herself flush, her retort dying on her tongue as she sighed.
It wasn't like she had anything better to do, she supposed.
"Okay. Sure. Why not."

Penny gives her rides to school when Constance’s car is too full of the boys, or if Ricky needs his wheelchair for the day and has to stow it in the backseat.
Riding with Penny is kind of wonderful. It’s just the two of them, more often than not, and Penny always brings her tea. They have different music tastes, but Ocean always enjoys whatever playlist Penny has on, and she’s come to look forward to listening to what Penny has playing. She gets to sit in the front seat when Penny drives her, and she’s not crammed in the middle of the backseat because she’s the smallest, squashed between Noel or Mischa and Constance’s baby brother’s car seat.
Ocean hadn’t really thought about how pretty Penny is before she started driving Ocean to school.
