Summary
In a brothel lost somewhere in the galaxy, after another bloody victory against the rebels, Darth Vader drowns himself in silence and alcohol. Prostitutes pass by, laughter echoes, but nothing reaches him. He seeks no pleasure, only oblivion, the brief relief of existing amid the pain.
Until he sees her. Huddled under the dim light of the stage, almost naked… and with her face.
But Padmé was dead. He saw the body, the coffin surrounded by flowers, the still belly that had once carried their child.
And yet, there she was, the same gaze, the same features, the same ghost that has haunted him since he ceased to be a man and became Darth Vader.
He watches her, petrified. Because she doesn’t recognize him. And perhaps, for one terrible instant, he wishes she never will.

Sequel to “The Phantom”
After learning a chilling truth, Padme finds herself the captive of the ruthless Darth Vader, a.k.a. Anakin, the boy who saved her life nearly a decade ago before disappearing without a trace. She isn’t really sure why he let her live, but she knows she must find a way to warn the galaxy about Palpatine before it’s too late.
Darth Vader doesn’t know why Padme is still alive either, and he absolutely can not ever let his master find out.
