Summary
During the battle for the Oathgate in Shadesmar, Adolin is mortally wounded. This one small change, just a matter of inches, sets off a series of events that will rewrite the history of Roshar.
-
In a war between immortal undead and fragments of divinity itself, hope is found in strange places - including the notebook of an artifabrian, the pockets of a surgeon, and the sewing lessons of a little prince.
“Darning socks is easy, my little light. There are other things - hearts, and minds, and people - that are far harder to mend. But you have clever hands, and a gentle soul…”
“And a needle?” Adolin said, beaming and holding up the little sewing kit in a chubby hand.
Evi smiled.
“And a needle.”
(This started as a bit of indulgent hurt/ comfort, only to become a massive story involving murder, conspiracies, execution, Stormscience, offworld travel, spren politics, and the unforseen effects of simple compassion. It also provides real consequences for certain major canonical decisions that seemed to be swept under the rug.
If you want explicit Shakadolin check out “Unraveling”, a series of romantic interludes that fit between various chapters of this story)

***WIND AND TRUTH SPOILERS***
Kaladin, Shallan, and Adolin meet up at the end like they promised one another.
***
“So what did you do?" Shallan asked, her eyes glittering expectantly. "Try to punch and stab your way through doorways or…”
He wished that was what he had done.
“No, um, many times I didn’t notice until—"
“Stormfather! You walked into everything, didn’t you?” She asked with excited incredulity.
Kaladin pressed his lips to a line. He had not walked into everything. But she was right, it had happened. And more than he would have liked. She seemed to guess her aspersion was at least partially correct and he could see the joy in her expression ramping up as he replied.
“Well not everything but there were a few times I—"
Kaladin didn’t get to finish, Shallan erupted with a shrill scream of unbridled glee.
Sure, Kaladin felt a little embarrassed about how many inanimate objects his face had unexpectedly encountered but he had promised, drinks, jokes, laughter, and he was certainly delivering on the last part.- Language:

Summary
Rhaenyra has Luke in her arms, the boy grinning at his mom. “Greetings, Princess. Your Grace.” She smiles at them, bowing as Helaena laughs at her mother’s antics.
If Alicent ignores the absence of the ring on her finger, she might believe nothing had ever changed. That two years hadn’t passed since their divorce, since they succumbed, since Alicent made the decision for them both and Rhaenyra had accepted. That she was returning home with their children and they’d sit on the couch watching a film, the kids falling asleep on them. It could be like before, a team, a family.
Or
Rhaenyra and Alicent are divorced. They still love each other. They’re both miserable. If only they’d just talk
Or
Welcome to the angsty divorced lesbian drama!

Summary
"Mother also says you're not friends anymore. Why?"
When Alicent lowered her gaze to Joffrey, she read no reproach in the little boy's eyes, merely innocent curiosity. Why weren't they friends anymore? There had been so much pain, so many elements beyond her control that had led to this situation that Alicent had never clearly dared ask herself the question, as if the answer couldn't possibly be simple anyway. And yet the words came to her naturally, like a breath too long held in her lungs.
"Because we hurt each other, mutually."
"Why?"
"Because it was so decided."
"I don't understand," muttered the child.
"I don't understand either," was all Alicent could reply.
It had been four years since Driftmark, since Aemond's lost eye and Rhaenyra's blood. Four years to pray and forget.
Four years after Driftmark, when Alicent thought she had finally forgotten, the maester announced that little Jaehaerys' lungs were sick and that only Dragonstone's sea air could cure him. And, once again, Alicent was forced to remember, to confront a past that was far too heavy, an echo of all she had lost.
