Summary
She moved until she was close enough to help push him up. She struggled with his weight, and he tried his best to help her, but it was difficult due to him being tied up. It was a concerted effort on both of their parts. Once he was sitting up and leaning against a wall, he tried to open his mouth, but it was also taped shut. It was a testament to how out of it he was, that he didn’t notice that sooner. Ellie ripped the tape off, and he winced at the burning sensation it left behind.
“Sorry,” she said.
“Where ‘re we,” Joel slurred. “‘hell happened?”
Or: Joel wakes up in a strange place, and he finds that he and Ellie are kidnapped.
