Time really does fly, and soon enough, Arthur's little boy is now all grown up and ready to leave for college.
But Alfred suddenly doesn't seem so keen on parting ways, and Arthur can't wrap his head around how strangely his son is behaving himself around him; moody, aggressive, and almost territorial. But, as an alpha himself, he understands- it's likely just a phase. All alphas go through it growing up.

Arthur Kirkland, 27, has many issues in his day to day life, including but not limited to his dead end job, his chronically empty bank account, and the punk band he's fronting. His long since dead and buried love life is just another item on his laundry list of problems.
Alfred Jones, 23, technically lives the perfect life: crown prince, flourishing kingdom, and all the perks that come with it... save one. Because while many a hopeless romantic is looking for their Prince Charming in the Kingdom of Spades, no one seems to actually want the kingdom part that comes with him.

Summary
Alfred F. Jones, young capo to the crime family named the Rogue Routes Express, is bored and lovesick. Between his duties to his family ruling over District 1, the constant struggles with their rivals located in District 44, he wants to make things change.
Arthur Kirkland, the sole legitimate heir to the crime empire of the weakened Velvet Thorn Brotherhood, is being trained in the family manor, deemed too valuable to engage in the fighting that regularly breaks out in Verona Beach. Restless like a bird trapped in its cage, he wants things to change.
