Both his brows furrowed south at that one. She wasn’t nailing this.
“I’m your daughter.”
Goggles - Jasper, she’d soon learn - spit out the sip of coffee he’d just taken, and the guy in the beanie - Miller - didn’t even seem to be mad that half of it had landed on his back, just muttering, “holy shit” at the scene in front of him.
Her father, however, was frozen solid, the only indication that he was still alive at all was the occasional blink from his wide open eyes.
“Congrats, Papa-bear, it’s a girl.”
