He’s in the Great Hall at breakfast the next day, poking at his eggs, thoughts stuck on the situation he’s suddenly found himself in. The way he sees it, there are a few options for him. One: he leaves at the start of break despite having signed his name on the parchment in the common room, which also means he has to spend Christmas alone. Two: he swallows his pride and dignity and asks a random student out and hopes they don’t already have a date, Jeongguk reckons he’s popular enough with the girls in his year that it will be easy getting someone to say yes. Three: he gathers all the courage he has and then some and asks the one person he actually would like to go with to the ball.
or, the yule ball is drawing closer and Jeongguk is stressed about finding a date. But maybe it all works out in the end?
