His eyes are squeezed shut in a painful expression, his head tossing back and forth as he thrashes a bit, pretty obviously caught in an unpleasant dream, and after only a moment’s hesitation, Ace reaches out to shake him by the shoulder as he whispers again. “Deuce. Wake up, Deuce!”
