Summary
Christopher's not exactly thrilled with the cold that leaves him stuck in bed, especially when his dads have to leave for an overnight shift. Luckily, Carla's ready to come over and read him a story about revenge, true love, and miracles -- and it might even be more exciting than a video game.

Summary
This man, Buck apparently, is huge, arms as big around as Eddie’s thighs and shoulders so broad that they are inches from touching the edges of the door-frame he stands in. Eddie deliriously thinks he might take after the Dachshund down the hall and start barking himself if left to stare at him for much longer when he feels a sharp elbow to his side.
“Buck, this is Dr. Diaz,” May says brightly, the sly cut to her eyes letting him know he has not been subtle in his gawking. “Dr. Diaz, this is Buck. He works with my stepdad at the fire station. And this—” she steps around the desk to scoop the puppy out of the man’s arms, clearly familiar with him in a way Eddie is not jealous of, "is LT! My step-nephew.”
or
Veterinarian Eddie Diaz meets a man who turns his life upside down with his smile, his heart, and his adorable Golden Retriever puppy.

Bookmarker's Notes
Buck steps in closer, mirroring their position at the clinic. This time when he leans in, there is no cat to interrupt them.
Their lips meet, and Eddie's not one for big dramatics but it feels — final. It feels like the first kiss in a line of thousands, the last first kiss he might ever have. It feels right, and safe, and soft. Buck feels that way. Eddie doesn't think he could ever drink his fill. Buck's palm cups his cheek and Eddie feels emboldened, swiping his tongue across Buck's bottom lip.
Buck groans in the back of his throat and crowds Eddie up against the door.
They stand like that, making out slowly in the shadows cast by the porch light, hiding them from the view of Eddie's nosy neighbors. Buck pulls back and rests their foreheads together breathing heavily into each other's mouths.

Summary
“M’gonna fight Eddie’s mustache,” Buck said decisively, tongue lolling around mid-air as he attempted to locate the straw in his tequila sunrise.
Chimney lifted his beer bottle in solidarity. “I’ll bring the razor, bro.”
Hen sighed. “Why are we attacking the mustache all of a sudden? I thought you both loved it?”
“B’cause… I wanna peel it back like an apple sticker,” Buck replied almost angrily, taking a big gulp of his drink. “He’s… he’s all like, ooh, look at meeee with my stupid hot nose bangs,” he mocked in a voice nowhere like Eddie and more like Danny Zuko in a high school play of Grease. “Mr Sexy Mustache here to save the fuckin’ day all sexily.”
“Oh,” Chimney said, raising an eyebrow while Hen mouthed ‘nose bangs’ to herself in disgust. “Yeah, we’re in very different fight clubs.”
Or: 5 times Buck & Eddie were being ridiculous about each other, and 1 time they were made aware of their shared nonsense.

Bookmarker's Notes
“I really, really want to kiss you right now,” Buck murmured.
Eddie tilted his head up, brushing his nose against Buck’s. “I think you should,” he said softly. “In fact, it’s on a list I made called ‘things I want Buck to do to me’.” Eddie slid one of his hands up to cup Buck’s jaw. “The rest of the list is pretty filthy,” he whispered against Buck’s lips with a smirk.
“Okay, that was fucking suave,” Buck exhaled before finally pressing his lips to Eddie’s in a searing kiss. He grasped onto Eddie’s t-shirt, moving him backwards until they hit the wall with a soft thud. Eddie let out a surprised huff against his mouth before deepening the kiss, sucking on Buck’s lower lip as his hands glided through his hair, messing up his curls.
