V cracks it. The monitor on the back wall of the space is bigger than they realized. Profile after profile of Night Citizens pre 2023 launch across the screen.
“Ya cracked it, kid,” he says, joyful at what he assumed would be her satisfaction.
But when she gives a shrug, her yeah is sad.
“Whoever did this… don’t think they’ve been back since your time, Johnny. Can’t be good. And I can’t find why they did this. What was this intel for? Are any of these people ok?”
