Summary
Chat Noir betrayed her. He took her earrings during their battle, she never even saw it coming, but she did see his look of surprise and his look of awe and love. And yet not one apologetic look was given. She watched as he became Adrien. She begged Gabriel not to make the wish. But he did. Every wish has a price. Gabriel made the wish not only for him but for Adrien, they both needed to pay a price. Marinette didn't expect she would be part of that price.
Tikki and Plagg found a loophole of sorts, one where Marinette would get a better life. One where no one from her past life would find her. They wished for her to be placed somewhere she would be loved and cared for. It worked, what they didn't expect was for their Guardian to be placed in Gotham...or for her to be barely a year old.
