Summary
Two hours until dusk and Marty can't take it anymore, snatches the card off the table and pulls up a chair at his father's old rolltop desk, brushing off the filmy layer of dust that had gathered on its surface. He draws out a piece of stationery paper and palms a pencil, still sharp, and wonders why it feels like a weapon in his hand. His eyes graze over the soldier's name again.
"Rustin Cohle," Marty murmurs out loud, weighing the words on his tongue while he presses the tip of the pencil there and scoffs. "What the hell kind of name is that?"

Summary
New York is being turned upside down. Raids every day, cameras on every corner, and Karen's been taken. Yet, amidst it all, safehouse to safehouse, Matt and Dex enact a pact borne out of a strange night shared; Matt will continue to dom Dex to provide him those glorious stretches of time where his mind turns off in the aftermath of sex. And Dex? Well, he has to assist Matt in taking down Fisk; no lethality allowed.
It's a tenuous agreement at best, one borne of desperation and the undeniable pull they feel to each other. But can such an agreement hold when put to the test?

"For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life." - Leviticus 17:11.
With his own blood flooding into Poindexter's veins, warming the man's weakened body and mixing into his system until there was no separation, Matt wondered if the shitty hideout could be considered an altar, and if either of them would ever find atonement.
