Now that you're in Hell it's time to start a new life and do whatever you want! You can finally make new friends and forget the troubles that happened when you were alive. What troubles? Pretty bad ones, but who cares now right?

Poe stops mid-sentence and tilts his head in confusion, not quite following Ranpo’s thoughts. Apparently, his expression is bewildered enough for Ranpo to explain further, “You.”
This really doesn’t help, though, so Poe starts scratching Karl’s head nervously, offering, “I can, uh–I can…leave the room? If you like?”

Summary
Ranpo was honestly planning to sleep through the entire show.
He wasn’t even going to go in the first place, but Atsushi had promised to buy him whatever he wanted from the bakery near the school if Ranpo went with him. Atsushi heard from his classmates that Akutagawa, his “mortal enemy,” had painted the sets for the show, and Atsushi wanted to make fun of them. He couldn’t do that without seeing the sets, obviously, so he had begged Ranpo to go with him.
Thus Ranpo, the ever magnanimous senior he was, agreed to go with Atsushi (but only after it was established that he could get anything from the bakery).
