At a very young age, Gen found that he could see something no one else could: Single threads of gold tying one person to another.
It wasn’t until he really got into reading (around when he turned 9) that he discovered the term soulmates. At the time, he found the term so poetic. He looked up anything and everything about them. He was quick to discover that soulmates can work in many ways. Some have matching tattoos, switch bodies, hear what song the other person is listening to, or, in many cases, are connected by a ‘red string of fate’. He was also quick to discover that soulmates were not only rare but also complete and utter fiction.
