“Alerts to the presence of Claude, Gemini and deepseek HTML artifacts by turning the page red” using a site skin.
There are some limitations to this concept… right now. It cannot detect all AI generated works at this time. It will detect some. This is an early, but promising idea. I’m sharing this (and other similar projects) to help increase visibility.

I've seen this tweet from @heatedrivalryai on X sharing how to add Claude/AI detector notification when you click on a fic that's been generated by Claude AI. So i made my own version where you can have the AI Detector as a parent skin for your custom site skins.
Claude generated fic that got detected will have little red "You got a call from “Claude”!" notification pop up on it instead of the whole screen turning bright red.

A guide on creating a site skin for detecting specific AI artifacts present in a fic's html that indicate usage of an LLM.
This is intended for personal use, as a means of informed decision making. THE AUTHOR DOES NOT CONDONE WITCH HUNTS OR HARASSMENT.
The site skin will only flag fics that have very specific HTML artifacts present, and which can ONLY make their way into fics by directly copying from an LLM into AO3's rich text editor. This is not a site-skin based on spotting "common patterns," but rather one that is based on provable technical indicators of said AI usage. It does not have any way of differentiating how the LLM was used.
