Summary
Jackie and Shauna are best friends.
Or at least, that’s what they’re supposed to be.
No one ever explained what to do when everything starts to feel different — or how to deal with the fear of losing someone you love before you even understand why.Or
Jackie and Shauna are very jealous — even if they don’t know it yet.

Summary
It was supposed to be just a reunion. One last summer before each of them went their own way, like old stories tucked away in a wooden closet that smells of dust and time.
Jackie went because she owed it to Van. Because she missed the sound of the lake at night, the pillow fights, the girls yelling her name through laughter.
Not for her. Never for her.But when Shauna Shipman walks through the gate of the old cabin like nothing ever happened — like she hadn’t torn everything apart — the summer changes color.
Jackie didn’t know she was coming.
And now she won’t rest until she sees that broken look on her face again. She wants Shauna on her knees. Wants her apologies. Wants her pride stripped bare.
She wants revenge. And maybe… maybe she wants to taste what she swore she had forgotten.
But that’s fine. She’ll make Shauna regret every damn second of that summer.
And if she ends up burning with her —
she’ll burn smiling. -

Summary
Shauna feels the poison spreading — not the literal kind, but the one that eats you up from the inside. Jealousy. The ugly kind, the hidden kind, the one she pretends isn’t there. And, as always, it starts with Jackie. Perfect Jackie. Untouchable Jackie. But everything changes when Shauna is torn away from her, thrown into a world that isn’t her own. A world where the ugly can bloom. Where everything revolves around her. Where Jackie is hers.
Have her problems always just been jealousy? Envy? Or is there something more, something even she doesn’t understand? To find out, Shauna will have to look beyond the flesh.
Or...
They won nationals. Of course they did. Jackie is living the happy ending she always dreamed of — victorious, in love, surrounded by friends at the perfect party. But an argument with Shauna at the end of the night changes everything. An argument that echoes. That breaks something. Something irreversible.
Does Jackie really know Shauna? No, she doesn’t. And now, she’ll have to face the truth — face what hides behind the smiles and affection.
Because sometimes, the truth isn’t on the surface.
It lies beyond the flesh.
