Tommy looks up with the most serious expression Tubbo thinks he's ever seen him have, and says, "Do you think we'll die?"
Tubbo's sure his face looks horrified. "Why would you ask that?"
"We’re in a fucking war, Tubbo. There's people who want us dead. I don’t think they’ll care about showing mercy." Tommy shrugs, so nonchalant for a statement like that.
"Surely they won’t hurt us too bad." He's grasping at straws to diffuse this conversation, comfort both of them with his words, and they both know it. He wants to believe it’s true, really, that the people he met on his first day on the server, all polite smiles and kind offers of resources, wouldn’t go through with their ever-present threats.
"Won't they?"
He pauses.
"Have you ever kissed someone, Tubbo?"
