Summary
After Jaskier's betrayal, the Wolves of Kaer Morhen must decide what to do with him. Locked in a room awaiting judgment, Jaskier has little else to do but write.
This is currently my favorite thing I have ever written and I'm very proud of it, please read it.
Inspired by the fic "We Are Like The Earth and Sky" by Hum My Name.

Summary
Someone is knocking on the large, wooden double doors that serve as the entrance to Kaer Morhen. In the middle of winter. In the middle of a blizzard.
The witchers move almost as one, grabbing their weapons. They make their way to the door, Geralt stepping up and preparing to open it as the others fall into formation behind him, ready for a fight. Geralt opens the door.
On the other side, Geralt sees… well, Geralt thinks he sees Jaskier, though he looks different, very different. Smells different, even.
“Jaskier?” Geralt asks, startled.
Jaskier smiles widely at him. Terrifyingly, there is blood in his teeth.
“I brought you a present,” Jaskier says, nonsensically.
For years, Jaskier has been silently telling Geralt he loves him. Only, certain secrets have always prevented Geralt from understanding. But now those secrets are out, and there are two cats loose in Kaer Morhen.

Summary
“Ellander was twenty-seven years ago,” Geralt states and watches as Jaskier’s eyes become round like bells.
“Holy—has it really been that long?” Jaskier stares up at Geralt, huffing unbelievingly. “It feels like yesterday that I met you in that horrible, horrible tavern.”
“That was exactly thirty years ago. That’s how time works, Jask.” A strand of hair is getting close to the bard’s eyes, so Geralt brushes it away, revealing silver streaks that are growing more obvious each day.
Or,
Destiny has one more surprise for Geralt after all these years, involving Jaskier of all people. It comes in the form of a soulbond and well-hidden heartache from the past.

Summary
Jaskier stretches his leaves and feels the edges dry under the hot, empty sky. His petals are drooping, losing their bright yellow color. Shame, he thinks, yellow is such a good look for summer.
None of it matters though. He won’t survive today.
He is only a buttercup by the road.
Or,
A flower is saved by a palmful of water. He returns the favor with a lifetime's tears.
