He's no less attractive for it, perhaps even more so, even if seeing the man beneath the hero persona was initially alarming. It's too intimate, too raw. Hawks had been terrified. Will I love the man when I've only ever loved the hero? He holds his face a moment longer before gently tugging him closer, and Endeavor understands. He presses his face to Hawks' shoulder, and the younger hero cradles his head to his chest a moment as he lifts up onto his knees. An arm slips around his waist to hold him still, and Hawks feels an ache he has never known before."
