Summary
“I want to run away.” Charlie said immediately, the sound of distress clear in his words. Nick heard some noise going on in the background, it sounded like a footsteps against concrete. He could also hear the faint wind blowing, like Charlie was outside. There was also something unrecognizable in his voice. It sounded almost emotionless, but at the same time it was still full of emotion. Regardless, it worried Nick a lot because he’s never really heard that tone from Charlie before unless something was really wrong.
“What?” Nick asked, and Charlie went silent for a few moments before he spoke again.
“Come outside.”
And so Nick left his room without a second thought about it.

Or; Charlie wants to run away, and Nick takes him on a trip across Europe instead.
