Summary
Chuckie didn’t put Will on a pedestal. Looked out from tired eyes and always saw Wills own, even ground, steady stepping, fingers interlocked as they tripped through life together with skinned knees. Chuckie always knew, like everyone else did, that Will was smart. That the big word adults threw at him, potential, rolled slick off of Will’s back like oil. It always stuck to Chuckie, though.
