Summary
When Jaskier finally has no more delays as an excuse, he swaggers over and drapes himself over the bench opposite the witcher, taking a long swig of his drink and studying the man across from him over the rim. The cider is almost painfully bad, acidic and aggressively alcoholic. Still, he appreciates it for the distraction it is from everything he’s trying very hard not to feel. He tries to look at the witcher with a stranger’s eyes, wondering if he would still love him despite all of the pain if he’d never known about the beautiful heart behind that handsome face.
Annoyingly, the answer is “yeah, probably.”
Surprisingly, Geralt speaks first.
“Jaskier, listen, I want to-”
“Sorry,” Jaskier interrupts, summoning all of the arrogance an upbringing like his can instill, “have we met before?” As approaches go, it’s fairly juvenile, but from Jaskier’s experience, there are few barbs more cutting than being forgotten entirely. He doubts Geralt will actually entertain the bit for any length of time, but it’s deeply satisfying to say.

Jaskier loves being a barista at a tiny coffee shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. His favorite customer comes in nearly every day for a drink, giving Jaskier a chance to pine over Geralt in person. A taciturn firefighter, Geralt is having a tough summer as arson fires blaze out of control around the city. When Jaskier's house catches fire, Geralt is the one to rescue him, and sparks fly, but so does suspicion. Will Jaskier end up behind bars for a crime he didn't commit? Or will love, tacos, bath bombs, and a little luck save him?

Summary
Geralt realizes, quite suddenly, that Jaskier is aging. He desperately asks the mages for any possible solution, something that could make Jaskier not so terribly mortal, and he finds his answer in an old elven ritual. Geralt decides to use this on Jaskier and himself. He can share his slow aging with Jaskier, and he won’t have to lose the person who, aside from Ciri, might be most important to him.
He just has to make sure that Jaskier doesn’t figure out that they are, technically, getting married.

Summary
Jaskier tells many lies, but the only one who believes them is himself. He's sure he'll grow out of that, but in the meantime, it has made things very awkward. You see, he's managed to secure a gig-- a very lucrative one!-- but his reputation proceeds him. When asked if there was a single person he could manage to be satisfied with, he manages to tell the truth without realizing it at first.
Which is why he's now dragging Geralt to the event as his romantic date.
