Summary
Since the very beginning of their relationship, Alicent and Rhaenyra have struggled to find the perfect couple’s costume for Halloween. They could never quite agree, and ended up fighting about it a couple of times. So, they finally established a rule about it: one year Alicent would choose for both of them, and the next year, it would be Rhaenyra’s turn.
This year, however, Alicent broke their rule.

Summary
It is cold down in the cells below the Red Keep. Alicent doesn’t know what brings her here. Not truly. She knows the reason that she gave to Rhaenyra. She told her she wanted to say her goodbyes to her father. Perhaps out of some sense of filial duty, perhaps because of lingering feelings of caring. Even after everything he has done, all the hurt his actions have wrought. If she were to spill her darkest truths, she would have to admit she wants an explanation, an apology from his lips. (Do you love me? You imbecile.)

Summary
Rhaenyra had presented as an Alpha at fourteen, much to the delight of her family. It had been a simple thing, almost expected, and a role she fell into easily.

Alicent exhaled, shuddering slightly. “I thought she was making it up,” she admitted. “She said her friend had silver hair and dragons, and I thought--”
Rhaenyra’s mouth curved, not quite a smile. “--that she was imagining things.”
Though their balconies are mere meters apart, Rhaenyra and Alicent have never met. It becomes much to Alicent's surprise when her daughters 'imaginary friend' turns out to be the captivating woman next door. The resulting confrontation becomes less of an argument and more of a first date.
