It wasn't that Dean liked it better at Sonny's, because he didn't. Sure, he was safe and supported and had a really awesome girlfriend, but he didn't belong there. He belonged here, with Dad and Sam, fighting the good fight. He knew that, he really did - it was just, it didn't come so easily to him anymore. He'd grown comfortable at Sonny's, and now he didn't know how to find his way back to a life of orders and walking on eggshells. It had been easier before, when he could pretend a new gun was happiness and the lack of insults was love. With each conflict to mediate and every lecture received, Dean begins to wonder if he'd made the wrong choice after all.
