Meraki
To leave a part of yourself in your work.For centuries, magic had thrived in the community and at the top of the food chain was the shadow witches, witches born from the cold and darkness, practising destructive, malicious magic with the intent to harm. At least that was how it was before their population dwindled down to mere hundreds, getting overthrown by the other witches joining forces, freeing the world from the pain and destruction they brought along with them. While some of them gave in and assimilated into the society like any other normal witch, the rest of them fled to the woods, refusing to accept the fact that they have been overpowered and hoping to increase their numbers so they could one day take the reign once again.
Jeongguk was one of the unfortunate souls born into a coven of blood thirsty shadow witches.
