Then he remembered where he was and took a good look at the man, seeing his rough appearance.
He clutched his luggage tighter and drew himself to his full height, taking advantage of the inches he had on him.
"If you want money I don't have any."
The man snorted. He didn't look intimidated. "Maybe I'd believe you if you didn't look like you just stepped out of a red carpet." He spoke with a raspy and strong accent, clearly a local by the sound of it. He looked Andrés up and down. "I was told to look for a fancy gentleman in a suit, so I'm assuming you're Andrés de Fonollosa."
"Yes, and you are?" He questioned relaxing slightly.
The man laughed, a deep and scratchy sound from deep within his belly, flashing a cute little gap in his upper teeth on the left side. His eyes shone brightly.
"Martín Berrote, at your service. I'm your official escort." He said, offering a hand.
Or this is a romcom where tourist Andrés meets local guide Martín.
Romance and trouble in paradise proceed to follow.
