Oh…. the coach is hot? Like, probably in the top ten most handsome men Riku has ever seen in his entire life. He laughs at something Sakuya says - because that damn kid is always doing some kind of bit - and he’s pretty when he laughs, too. His eyes scrunch up and everything.
Riku blinks, comes out of his stupor, and nearly gapes at himself in horror.
Is he here, monologuing, about how hot his cousin’s tennis coach is? Really?!

Maeda Riku is twenty-one years old when his world ends. Ranked #39 male tennis player in the world with an Olympic silver medal, he tears his ACL during a game, and vows to never play again.
Two years later, he goes back to Japan to rebuild his life, only concerned with getting through the next day and watching One Piece and that's about it. Summary
He saw Sion off at the airport, of course, and snuck a kiss goodbye on the cheek when no one was looking, obviously. And the pictures he gets of his boyfriend in a suit are good, yes, and the phone sex is even better, naturally, but it’s in Riku’s nature to scheme. To tease. To keep Sion on his toes, because if Riku doesn’t, who will?
No one, that’s who. So obviously Maeda Riku has decided to do the world a favor and take on the burden of being the number one pain in Sion’s side.
After all, there is an art (despite what many prude best friends would insist, fuck you, Yushi), to being a brat. Being a menace. Riku has gotten the art of being a nuisance down to a science, down to a fucking formula, down to the most efficient, yet maximized, way to cause some good ‘ol chaos.

“Ah, they’re boarding,” Sion tells him when it’s announced over the intercom. “I’ll be there in two hours, yeah? Don’t fall asleep until I get there.”
“I’m wide awake,” Riku says. And then he yawns. “If your plane crashes, I’ll-”
“Kill me, I know, you’ve told me,” Sion laughs. They call for his boarding number and he stands up. “Stay awake! I love you, okay?”
Riku’s cheeks are pink as they always are whenever Sion says it. Though he’s still smiling; a coy little thing. “I’ll be there,” he says. “I love you, too.”
Sion presses his lips to his phone camera. Making a loud, obnoxious MWAH! sound that startles the people standing around him.
Soon, he thinks as he gets on the plane. Soon, soon, soon-

Sion and Riku have been online best friends for six years, dating for two. All it takes is years of yearning and a bad birthday party to get them to meet. And so they do. And so it is everything they've ever wanted.
It's weird, truthfully, how someone you've never met can still feel like coming home.
