Summary
Exploration of a summer they spent together. Reunited after spending some time apart, they can't really control their wants and feelings.

They walk together, not too close to one another, not too far. Everyone is busy and there's not a soul to care about them, not a soul to witness the hunger in their steps. They discuss small things, things of life, things of no importance as the importance is not in the words. The importance is in a finger, brushing inadvertently the hand of the Lord Commander as they walk. It is in his hand, clenched around her elbow, preventing her from jostling a clumsy page burdened with honey cakes. It is in glances, in smiles, in laughter. It is on her lips, tasting a ripe peach that spills on her chin, it is in this same peach that she gives him, taste it, she says, it's delicious, it is on his lips as he tastes her kiss on the fruit. They collide and drift apart, as if there were two opposing forces that nothing could bring together. All the things you do to touch me. All the things I do to touch you.
Upon their heads, the red sun still exudes its suffocating heat.
