Summary
Osamu’s own legs twitch at the sight of it. His throat feels full of rocks, voice flattened by the weight of his own desire. He wishes the FIDE had some sort of standard banning intimacy between players, and shit, maybe they do, but nothing gets in the way of a match more than your brain being full of nothing but post-orgasmic mush.
He can’t breathe. He clears his throat, loosens his tie, and undoes the top button of his shirt but nothing can take the pressure off his windpipe. It’s only the twelfth move, but his head won’t clear– a rolodex of Keiji, Keiji, Keiji flipping through his mind with no end in sight. He’s perfect. Osamu hates him.

Kiyoomi stares at the board for 15 seconds. 30 seconds. He knows he hasn’t been bested yet. There has to be a way to at least draw; but his only standing pieces are 3 pawns, a single rook, and his king. Atsumu is smiling from the other side, twirling his pencil between two gnawed fingers.
Another spike in his blood pressure comes when Atsumu bites down on the eraser-side of his pencil, meeting Kiyoomi’s eyes for a split second as if to say, “Ain’t ya gonna move? Will ya resign for me, Kiyoomi?”
