At nineteen, Kwak Jiseok designs the programming architecture that brings androids into the world. At twenty-four, he's told he only has about five years left to live. As his health declines, he moves out into the countryside to wait for his illness to claim him, with his cat Snoopy for company and android model P5-0912, "Jooyeon", as a live-in nurse and housekeeper.
But then something about Jooyeon begins to change, and Jiseok can no sooner understand it than his own inexplicable feelings.
