Summary
Geto thinks both Gojo and Amanai died that day, and he is only part right.
Gojo revived himself from the edge of death while Amanai did cross over, but she came back as something not quite human yet not wholly cursed spirit either. Gojo takes her and leaves, so when Geto comes and finds only broken bodies and a bloodbath, the mission officially ends with him being the only survivor.
Or: Geto thinks he is plagued by the two hallucinations. (they’re really, really not)

She can mend broken bones and stitch wounds back together, but she cannot heal the accumulation of exhaustion people bring back. She tries though. With all her might, she tries.

Summary
In a world obsessed with killing and dying, Seiko is mostly concerned with chasing off her boredom. The Academy wasn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but dying in the second shinobi war sounded like a long walk off a short pier. Everyone is always so stressed about avoiding attention, or min-maxing skills in situations like this.
Seiko is of the opinion that those people need to chill the hell out. Maybe play a little shogi. Death comes for them all anyways. Better to enjoy this all while it lasts.
(genius self insert stumbles into disrupting a timeline with the intentionality of an elephant trampling a very fancy tea shop.)

Summary
There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.
