Summary
Chan had a history of clinging to things only when he risked losing them. It wasn’t healthy, but lots of things about him weren’t healthy. If an old shirt developed a hole, he wore it for a week straight before finally throwing it in the trash. It used to make Felix laugh, make him unbearably fond.
He wondered how long he had left being clung to, the old shirt that Chan was on the verge of throwing away. He wondered if it would hurt more to be cut off entirely, or if this agonising lingering was worse.

And somehow it made him a little bit braver. Because nowhere in all that rambling did Chan actually say he didn’t want him.
Felix moved without hesitation, climbing fully into Chan’s lap, thighs sliding over each side of him, straddling him. “You want me?” Felix panted, forehead pressed to Chan’s. His eyes were huge, glassy, begging.
Chan groaned low, rocking Felix’s hips down harder. “Course I fucking want you.”

felix gets a bit too wasted at a party he isn’t supposed to be at but at least his best friends older brother is there to make sure felix doesn’t do anything stupid.

“You don’t, Lix.” Chan reassures, rubbing Felix’s back. The younger snuggles in closer almost like he’s trying to get underneath Chan’s skin.

As if Felix can read his mind the next words he speaks feel like a direct stab to the heart. “I wish I could fall for someone like you, Chris.” he whispers, palm pressed against Chan’s chest. His touch is so warm but the leader suddenly feels cold. Felix is seconds from unconsciousness, Chan doubts he even knows he’s babbling or that his friend can hear him. “You’re everything I want in a man.” Felix is truly asleep after that and Chan doesn’t know if he wants to scream or break down into hopeless sobs.
