Summary
Sung Hanbin has spent years worshipping Zhang Hao from afar—her idol, her inspiration, the woman she never thought she’d ever have the privilege to stand in front of.
Until she does.
But to get close to her, Hanbin has to lie. Just enough to slip into Zhang Hao’s class and finally breathe the same air as her. Except Zhang Hao is nothing like she expected—she’s sharper, softer, more dangerous in her sweetness, and far, far more attentive.
“How old are you, Hanbin?” Zhang Hao asks, dropping the honorific like it’s nothing. It freezes Hanbin’s blood, it makes it boil hot, and hot, and hotter at the same time. Her cheeks flush, her fingers fidget, her gaze skitters away from Zhang Hao’s.
“Twenty-four.” Zhang Hao hums, sounding almost satisfied.
“Ah, a baby then,” she says, much to Hanbin’s horror.
“Call me jiejie.”
Fingers cup her jaw, gently guiding her face up to meet Zhang Hao’s. Her eyes shine, all round and wide and innocent. But her smile isn’t.
Zhang Hao knows exactly what she’s doing, exactly what she’s doing to Hanbin.
And Hanbin doesn’t really mind. If Zhang Hao wants to toy with her, so be it.

Summary
“Uhm, and well, no, not exactly. I’m single,” Hanbin supplies, lowering his palm.
His eyes land on the collectibles laying on Hao’s dresser. They’re photocards from a male celebrity Hao is more than obsessed with, showing him in various poses and cute garments.
In a flash, there’s a daring smile playing at his lips, like he’s privy to some information Hao is yet unaware of. It makes Hao jittery.

Summary
Clearly in the mood to be mysterious, Hao only shrugs at him. “I put in a bit of this and that—friendship, a sprinkle of joy, the wish for us to become dear neighbours. And, of course, good quality pumpkin spice. It’s autumn after all.”
Hanbin narrows his eyes. “Keep your secrets, I guess.”
At those words, Hao bites his lip, something delighted blooming in his gaze. “You’ll just have to try harder if you want to figure me out, neighbour Hanbin.”
or: When a new cafe opens next to Hanbin’s flower shop, Hanbin can’t help but be suspicious. The decor is just too charming, the drinks too comforting, and the workers too sweet. And don’t even get him started on the cafe’s owner, Hao—who is as beautiful as he is an absolute thorn in Hanbin’s side.

Since the incident, an overwhelming sense of curiosity burned inside of him: How would it feel like to have Hanbin’s gun pointed at him as they fucked? Metal cold on the back of his sweaty neck as Hanbin ordered him around, as if he held Hao’s life at gunpoint? What would it be like to look at his sweet Hanbin’s dazed face as he held the trigger, ready to shoot?
Or: Hao gets curious about Hanbin's gun. It spirals from there.
