Conrad snorts and before I can even react, he's cornered me in front of the kitchen island, body crowding mine as he pulls my hands off my ears and grips at my arms.
"You're going to hear this," he grits out, "You can lie to yourself all you want, but here's what you don't know — I love you — I love you a lot, and I will tear that fucking kid limb from limb if he touches you again. I'm done with this game. It's not funny anymore."
I gasp as I try to push his hands away from my arms, but Conrad's hold is steadfast.
"Of course, I know you love me," I shout back. "Everyone in this family loves me. You all love me so damn much, you treat me like a baby and I'm sick of it."
Conrad shakes his head and scoffs. "You are so fucking clueless sometimes, it's not even funny," he snarls before pushing my back against the island and kissing me, fully on the mouth, his tongue nearly plundering.
And oh wow. There go the fireworks.

Summary
What do you do when you’re 16, pregnant, and your boyfriend (oh wait - damn, ex-boyfriend) won’t even answer your calls? You secretly cross state lines to go find him of course! A season 2 re-write fic, in which Belly is pregnant, Conrad has no idea, Jere’s not having any of this shit, Taylor is determined to save the day, and Steven’s just here for the ride. Oh, and Cam and Skye are here too for some reason.
Nearly an hour later, I’m close to drifting off, when I hear Conrad’s voice softly whispering my name. I don’t say anything and I’m sure he thinks I’m sleeping. “Belles. You don’t even know. You’re literally all I think about. All the time. Always,” he says as he kisses my stomach lightly.
Instead of responding, I clutch him a bit tighter to me, to Little Bean. We feel like a family and I let myself enjoy it for now. In the morning, I’ll have to get over these childish delusions, but this - this right here, this right now. This feels nice.
Half crackfic, half serious exploration of teenage pregnancy, abortion, the right to choose, love and friendship regardless of political differences, and the ways in which we very often mirror the mistakes of the generation before us.
