“I wonder how sensitive you are,” Wanderer mumbled, a smirk pulling at the corners of his lips. The involuntary jump of Mona's muscles when he dragged his hips against her answered the question for both of them.
Sensing that he was going to use this fact against her, Mona placed her hands on his collar and curled them into the material at the base of her neck. She stared at him through her eyelashes. “And what about you, Wanderer? Seems like you're trying a little too hard to hold back.”
The line was a clumsy attempt to dent Wanderer's pride, but Mona took satisfaction in the tiny twitch at the corner of his lips. The fingers on her thigh sank in a little more deeply. “I've waited a long time to take back what's mine. Do you honestly think I won't wait a little longer if it means I get to watch you squirm?”

After more a year apart, Mona runs into her old rival in Constellation Metropole.
