Summary
In Kageyama’s eyes, it was his fault.
When Hinata’s hand had connected with the ball, it had bounced right off of Kindaichi’s hand. A successful block, nothing unexpected in a practice match.
That could of been the end of it. It should have been the end of it, but no. It appeared that the ball felt quite salty and was attempting to get revenge on the young spiker for hitting it so hard. It ricocheted off of Kindaichi’s hand and–
And hit Hinata straight in the face.

Kageyama Tobio always told himself that as a setter, he should be able to work with any spiker.
But when Hinata gets injured and can't play for a few weeks, he feels his resolve start to crumble. Doing quicks with anyone but the little middle blocker left him feeling nauseous, like a broken record.
Since when had he been so reliant on Hinata?
