Summary
Satoru is still, his feet riveted to the lush green grass underfoot. His throat is dry, and his tongue laps up the bitter taste of cotton and ash. With a stuttering heart, Satoru advances forward. The dead body of his kid who’d been alive just an hour ago slips from Yuuji’s grasp as Yuuji himself jolts away to throw up.
