Carefully, He Tian moves away from the door, closer to Guan Shan. He lifts a hand and reaches out to touch his bare back. Guan Shan freezes.
“I thought you were abroad until September.”“I wanted to see you sooner,” He Tian says, voice low as his knuckles trace the bumps of Guan Shan’s spine. It’s daring - they didn’t part ways on very good terms the last time. They rarely do. The move might earn him a hook but the pull is magnetic. “Waiting six months was too long.”
It’s always a gamble when he returns from his travels, a game of russian roulette but as long as Guan Shan agrees to play, He Tian will take the hits. He doesn’t fear the lead.

A sharp laugh rings out, as clear to He Tian as a gunshot, over the sounds of glasses, silverware and idle conversations of the restaurant. It’s a familiar sound that even now He Tian finds uncommon, but a laugh that he covets dearly.
He Tian snaps his head in the direction toward the double doors that lead to the kitchen, where Guan Shan is now walking through with their waitress. A man is standing next to them, holding open one of the swinging doors for them as they go through it, grinning wide at Guan Shan as if the man -Yang Feng?- just said something funny.
He must have. If it made Guan Shan laugh.

Summary
It wasn't entirely unusual for Guan Shan to wake up in the middle of the night.
The noise of the city, and the temperature of the room sometimes woke him up with its chill. Despite being several stories above the street and falling asleep with no less than two blankets every night.
He Tian was also a man prone to night terrors.
Tonight, however, it is not a nightmare that wakes Guan Shan.

Summary
They meet on a train, going through a rural area in China. He Tian's feeling disillusioned with his brother and is running from the business meeting he's supposed to be in in Shanghai. That's about the time the hot redhead enters the train car and sits opposite him, murmured 'scuse me falling quietly from his lips.
One problem. Well, two: the guy is on the wrong seat. He Tian knows that he is because He Tian bought out every seat in the train car. He has no way to let the guy know that, considering He Tian doesn't speak a word of Chinese besides ni hao and his own name.
Which leads to problem two: redhead is breathtaking, fucking beautiful, and has an attitude to boot, and He Tian really, truly needs to make out with him, which will be difficult, considering, yeah, He Tian doesn't speak a word of Chinese besides ni hao and his own name.
He has a few hours on this train. It's going to be a long ride.
