Summary
In a world where everyone is a Dom or a sub, Max is depressed, repressed, and more than a little confused. She's come to Blackwell Academy to study under the famed Mark Jefferson and further her photography dreams but now has to deal with a growing attraction to her childhood friend (who should hate her), her childhood friend's girlfriend (who should also hate her), her dorm neighbor (who does hate her), her new musically-inclined Christian friend (who couldn't hate anyone but just give it time) and kinda sorta maybe most everyone else on her floor? Max has never been good at actually dealing with her feelings, though, and keeps bottling them up, hoping they'll just go away. How much longer can things continue like this before they come to a head?
Hint: not long at all.

Summary
A full novelisation of the prequel game Before the Storm. As with my other works, I won’t stick slavishly to the script and the game, but expand on the characters, conversations and events that we know and love. However, I won’t be introducing any new characters, although I will be speculating on things that could have happened off-camera i.e. chapters from the POV of other characters, exploring what happened to them, or how they arrived at a particular situation or decision.

Summary
In the end, Max chose Chloe over everything, leading to the destruction of Arcadia Bay. But they soon realize Fate is not pleased with their defiance. Left with nothing but each other, they must outrun the ever growing wrath of Destiny while also confronting what it truly means to choose one person over the world. What it means to willingly crack the sky open for the one you love.
