vodyanitsa gets drunk inside the busy podvorye restaurant in snezhnaya. the people there ask her to perform and keep giving her drinks, but her alcohol tolerance isn’t as good as everyone expects it to be. she ends up getting whiny and teary as she starts thinking about odette.
eventually, they summon odette directly in the middle of a fatui meeting supervised by lady marionette herself. affectionate and drunk, vodyanitsa doesn’t realize that she’s about to turn odette’s world upside down by confessing her longtime crush—and the love she has carried for her all this time.

“This is making me so nervous…” Vodyanitsa thinks to herself. Her heart was positively pounding. She hoped her face looked normal, but if there was anyone who could tell she was feeling ‘unusual’, it’d be Odette, right?
…wait no, that’s not right. If that was true, then shouldn’t she have noticed that Vodyanitsa has a crush on her?! Shouldn’t she have noticed that like forever ago?! Or maybe well about 1-2 years ago when it started, but still.
“Mrghhhh, I know I wasn’t so so obvious with it, but it’s still frustrating!” Vodyanitsa thinks to herself, subconsciously starting to pout, “Aren’t I cute? And charming? Why haven’t you just fallen for me already?!”

Vodyanitsa has been girl-failing her (far too subtle) confessions of love towards Odette. Alyosha, Mitya and even Sandrone do their best to help, but it becomes increasingly evident that the only way to get through to Odette… is a proper declaration of love.

...this room was soundproof, like all the changing rooms in the theatre. Something about allowing performers to warm up without disturbing others. And of course, this was also perfect for other activities that absolutely did not involve warming up. Well, perhaps it did. Vodyanitsa’s body was plenty warm, her face flushed, out of breath as if she just ran a marathon.

It feels so incredibly natural, she thinks, as if her body had been crafted in the womb to have Vodyanitsa’s head rest there.
“You two,” Alyosha mutters under his breath from where he’s been watching the entire past minute unfold, “are so fucking hopeless.”
