She was the light at the end of the tunnel that he so desperately tried to reach.
Sure, she had a few problems. Sure, she indulged in one too many drinks quite often. Sure, most things she said came out with more snark and sarcasm than truly needed but she was his, and he found her perfect. And then she left.. for four damn years. At first, he thought she was a figment of his imagination when he passed and smelled her hair products; a scent so uniquely hers that he could always identify it no matter where he was. But no damn hallucination of his would be talking to Steve Orth of all people. Steve Orth?! It wasn’t until he murmured her name softly as she was sifting through her locker that he had confirmation that this girl right in front of him, pretending he didn’t even exist, was truly there. Billy was hit with a million emotions all at once in those few seconds that she turned in response to hearing her name and widened her eyes when she saw who said it.
Billy finally sees his ex-girlfriend whom he believes has abandoned him, yet she acts like he doesn't even exist. He doesn't take it too well. Her ignoring him coupled with his abandonment issues causes him to spiral out of control.
